Around 2000 industry decision-makers, including potential investors and buyers from nearly 50 countries, will gather in one location for TechWorld, one of the UK’s largest technology shows at London ExCel Centre, 16 - 17 November 2011.

Hosted by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the event represents a rare opportunity for UK businesses to meet face-to-face with potential international clients and buyers, making it a leading generator of investments, partnerships and deals for UK technology companies. Visiting companies taking part in TechWorld include Toshiba, Sharp, Sony, Panasonic Japan, Singapore Technologies Engineering and Orange Capital.

The event is designed to give young tech and digital companies a competitive advantage by accelerating their start-up phase through an intense week of business boot camp training sessions with the industry’s most successful leaders. The density of representatives in a single location gives unrivalled value for money to UK businesses, enabling direct engagement with influential decision makers from international corporations, start-ups and the best of British industry. 

The two-day conference and seminar programme will include leading figures from London 2012, The Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nokia, Eidos, Philips Research UK, the BBC, the University of Oxford and the Imperial College, London.

Focussed into four overarching themes, the conference programme will assess the very latest technologies and applications available from UK companies.

Energy and Environment, focuses on how UK innovation is enabling a sustainable energy approach, reducing power consumption and improving performance. Talks from leading figures including will investigate the low energy society, outlining the future of SMART Grids and networks.

Digital Connected World explores how emerging technologies place the UK at the forefront of global innovation. Sectors include intelligent transport systems, mobile health, education, construction and retail. Key seminars include a session dedicated to delivering London 2012.

Enabling Creativity will cover social networking, web and mobile app development, news and information delivery, games development and trends, augmented reality and 3D experiences.

Explore Export is a series of workshops designed to give practical advice to entrepreneurs on how to access particular markets, including BRIC nations, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas.
