It’s a global offer, so entrepreneurs can apply to their local academy or one of the 12 locations in Barcelona, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Dublin, London, Madrid, Munich, Prague, Santiago or Sao Paulo.

Successful applicants will have access to the huge network created by the academies, along with technical and commercial support/help to grow their business. “In exchange for initial founding, Telefónica takes a minority stake in their companies, through a convertible note funding option.”

What You Will Recieve

• An Investment of 40 thousand Euros
• At least 6 months in the purpose built London Wayra Academy
• A expert mentorship scheme
• A business start-up bootcamp
• An O2/Telefonica board adviser

Since last June, five of the 19 start-up businesses from Wayra London received significant funding and most are actively pursuing further funding rounds. Most of the businesses are in the process of securing commercial partnerships with O2 and Telefónica.
