Sustainable in Social

How has social media changed the way brands approach CSR and sustainability initiatives? What challenges and opportunities do they face when using them?

That was the agenda for Sustainable Brands Doing Good by Doing Well in Social, a forum for comment and insight from brand marketers.

Julia Monro of Marks & Spencer talked about the M&S approach to sustainability featuring their recent Shwopping initiative with social media at its heart.

Betapond co-founder Conor Ryan spoke about Waterworks, a groundbreaking charitable initiative from Unilever and PSI providing clean drinking water to millions of people.

They were joined by Tamasine Johnson (Senior Digital Campaigns and Social Media Manager, National Trust) and Charlotte Beckett (Head of Digital, The Good Agency).

Giles Gibbons, CEO of Goodbusiness, founder of the Sustainable Restaurants Association, chaired the event.
