Description

The DPA Awards recognise and promote excellence in directory and data publishing and celebrate the best directory and data companies, both small and large. There are a variety of Service Provider Awards, recognising the suppliers and products that support the sector and DPA Members.

The judging will take place on 17 July. The winners will be announced on 23 October at The De Vere Grand, Brighton. To be amongst the winners, start compiling your entry now.

To be eligible to enter a DPA Publisher Award you must be a directory publisher or data service provider. Publishers should enter themselves. The qualifying period for products published or recognised achievements is between March 2007 and May 2008.

Suppliers to the industry should also enter themselves in their relevant category. Product developments and achievements are relative to the period between March 2007 and May 2008. Publishers should encourage their preferred suppliers to enter these awards.

The judges will take into consideration the following criteria: overall presentation, background information, editorial content, advertising content, innovation, creativity, interactivity, recognition of the product or campaign and commercial success in the marketplace.

The judges on the panel have been appointed by the DPA Secretariat, but are acting independently of the DPA. The judges will be responsible for assessing entries and choosing the winners of the Awards. The judges’ decision will be final and binding. The judging panel will treat all entries with the strictest confidence.

The shortlist will be available on 18 July following the judging on 17 July.

The winners will be presented with a specially commissioned trophy and a certificate at the Awards dinner on 23 October at The De Vere Grand, Brighton. At the discretion of the judges, runners up will receive highly commended certificates. All winners will be listed on the DPA website. They may also promote their winning entries with the DPA’s recommended endorsement.

DPA will not return any copies of directories/data products or entries unless asked at the point of submitting the entry.
