Description

So you have a Twitter account or a Blog. Maybe you've got a YouTube or Flickr account or a Facebook page. The question now is, what do you do with them?  You know you can't treat them like traditional media or PR channels but how do you harness the power of the Live Web to tell your stories and develop relationships with your customers and stakeholders?

This workshop takes a very practical look at ways of working with social media spaces, how to use written and visual language, how to respond and develop conversations and how to form content relationships that develop network effects for brands and organisations.

The workshop is in two halves:

In the morning you will be introduced to a range of case studies where organisations and individuals have found a real voice that fits with the logic of the Live Web. These range from blogs to mashups.

The afternoon will take the form of a 'social media surgery' where attendees can bring along their own social media 'content' and discuss how  to develop it, integrate and manage it. The workshop leader will provide constructive and positive advice and help attendees develop a manageable and deliverable roadmap for their social media work..
