Description

Talis' Kasabi  and BrightLemon's Building the Social Web are joining forces to organise a Hackday based around open government. The aim is to bring together 20 invited expert developers to build datasets and APIs within Kasabi, demonstrating the possibilities available when structuring data and visually publishing it to the web.

This will be a hands-on practical day which will see the developers build and publish services and apps by using the Kasabi API’s. This will then demonstrate that its possible to create visual applications and prototypes, in short time and on a low budget, that allow data to be accessible and usable.

The day will also see the developers openly discuss matters surrounding linked data, the semantic web and how political organisations can benefit from structuring and publishing their data. The Kasabi team will also be bringing along datasets in advance of the hackday.

If you’re a developer with an interest in linked data, the semantic web and data visualisation then please sign up here  to join the Open Government Data Hackday for free.
