There’s a lot of people doing a lot of great things with data in London (and beyond of course) and we wanted an excuse to come together, listen to a great speaker or two, share some war stories and generally help grow the data ‘ecosystem’ for the benefit of us all.

Alongside our friends at DataSift we have created Londata, an irregular, informal series of events to showcase great examples of ‘putting data to work’.

There’s already a few tech-driven meet-ups around data (we think the best is Big Data London), but we wanted to do something from a more commercial perspective. More ‘what’ than ‘how’, if you like.

Our plan is to keep it informal, keep the tickets free and see where it goes.

We’re delighted to announce Emer Coleman, Director of Digital Projects for the GLA, and directly responsible for The London Datastore as the speaker at our launch event on November 23rd.

Emer will be talking about ’Setting London’s data free’ and will have some interesting tales to tell…

Entry is strictly by ticket only and places are limited, you can register here!

We’ll be laying on drinks and nibbles, what more could you ask for…

Richard
