Description

By creating a new model for cross media entertainment, can the ever playful Mind Candy become Europe's next billion dollar breakout success?

Mind Candy's latest online game Moshi Monsters is one of the fastest-growing kids brands in the world with 50 million registered players. Its founder Michael Acton Smith, described by The Telegraph as "a Rock Star version of Willy Wonka" and by the Independent as "a polite version of Bob Geldolf" has had to contend with a flirtation with bankruptcy and a major pivot along the way.

In a live interview the indomitable David Rowan of Wired UK will get behind the headline hype to talk about the journey that Michael Acton Smith and his team of Mind Candies have been on and where they are heading next.

Immediately before the 'A Monster Revolution?' event we will be hosting an Early Stage Funding Workshop in the same venue from 4.00pm-6.00pm. The workshop will provide practical advice for entrepreneurs who are seeking angel or seed funding through to series A investment. Our panelists will include representatives from top European investors as well as highly regarded, funded entrepreneurs. We'll post final details on the panel members on our website shortly.
