Description

Event Description:

One of the biggest pitfalls in small start-up businesses is the lack of capital and investment. While lots of web sites, such as TechCrunch, report on the success stories of those who raised investment, strategies for successful fundraising remain unclear.

In this workshop, Tom will take you through his journey that saw him raise £8m+ for his two startups: eCourier.co.uk and Shutl. He will talk through methods of raising capital from bank, angels and venture capitalists and give a picture of basic fundraising readiness and strategy. Tom will give high level overview and then aim to answer any questions that you may have.

This workshop will be presented by Tom Allason, CEO and founder of Shutl.

Doors open at 6.00pm for a 6.30pm start, please arrive in good time so as not to disrupt the presentation. Drinks and snacks will be provided as we appreciate you'll probably have been working hard all day. If you have any questions relating to the series please contact Caroline Heron at carolineatmetamute [dot] org.
