Chinwag Events Testimonials

Chinwag Events - What's the story?

Chinwag runs numerous events in the UK and overseas. In addition to our own events, we also create bespoke events for clients. Here's just a few of the nice things people have said about our events...

Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012

GEW 2012 - High Impact Host

Produced for UK Trade & Investment, Chinwag produced two events to help bring together the music and fashion industries with technologists, funders and leading experts to support new businesses and entrepreneurship.

Enterprising Fashion and Enterprising Music were recognised by the organisers of Global Entrepreneurship Week as High Impact Events.

Chinwag Live: evening panel debates

After a few networking bashes over the years, Chinwag events began in earnest in February 2007 with the first Chinwag Live evening panel discussion which sold out over a month in advance and kicked off a successful and wide-ranging series of topical evening debates that consistently attract a wide range of digital industry professionals and have gone on tour to ad:tech, Internet World and Ecommerce Expo.

Chinwag Big Summer 07: party time!

Not ones to rest on our laurels, we also held the largest ever party in the UK for new media people on 7th July 2007, when 2,000 digital folk descended on Imperial College Union to celebrate the industry's return to form.

Chinwag Clinics: collaborative consultancy

In turn, the need for yet more in-depth discussion of business-critical issues has led us to launch the Chinwag Clinic series. Half-day afternoon sessions where a small group of delegates submit their questions in advance, they're designed to make sure delegates get the infomation required for their business to benefit.

Chinwag Clinic: Search Marketing Surgery

The inaugural Chinwag Clinic on 30th September 2008 brought a group of delegates together to discuss their questions about search marketing in-depth with four leading industry experts from I Spy Search, Guava, Bigmouthmedia and Search Johnston....

Here's what they had to say about the event.

"The line-up was great. It was also interesting to see the different strategies and points of view from different agencies. I definitely felt my points were answered. Although I came away with a few more questions, I think that’s probably a good thing!”
Simon Hall - Marketing Manager, Virgin Games

"Good session... I look forward to the next event."
Wyndham Lewis - Business Analysis & Development, TMG

"It was exactly the format of event I'd pay to attend in future, and the process of sending in questions beforehand was ideal to get to the kind of detail that makes things work for me. The content was excellent, and I learnt something on pretty much every question. The depth of the answers was also good."
John Duffy - Director, NEMISYS

"Simply excellent; far more informative than I expected."
Chris Kempt - MD, Kempt Ltd

"I thought the line up was great and my understanding was definitely deepened throughout the discussion."
Roz Hase - Planner, leading global digital and direct agency

"The panel were impressive and extremely knowledgeable. Nice central venue, and the smaller audience size was great – small enough to allow us to get detailed answers to questions and helpfully dissect our individual SEO problems."
Trish Thomas - Digital Strategy Officer, Youth Music

"It was great to have a number of experts and the chair managed the discussion really well. My questions were definitely answered and my understanding of SEO, paid and natural search was definitely improved by attending."
Sarah Platt - Co-founder, Kinura Web Video

"The line up was exceptional. Four guys who obviously know their subject and their industry. It was good to see a spread across PPC and SEO. I came away knowing much more than I had previously... and I am certainly able to look at SEM in a more structured way. In terms of web development this is very useful. It also helps sell SEM to clients as I can talk with some knowledge about it - this means we are more likely to be able to upsell this to clients."
Alan Newman - Managing Director, Sensible Development
