LOL!
Drew you are a funny guy. I bet you are part of the flashpad too...and if
you are not i'd consider joining up...you'd fit right in.

>Lighten up Carlos!

No but i just lit up.

>The site is one of the best I've seen.

Then you probably havent seen many. You should stick around.

>The images are a key part of the aesthetic, and he should NOT loose them.

Thanks for the aesthetic lesson.
But as far as the size of the .swf file is concerned the bitmap usage or
mismanagement of them is what is hurting the site.

::standing ovation on this one:: Thanks for the "depth" lesson. But if you
knew anything about Flash 3 then you would know that animating bitmaps
should be #1 on the do not do list; that is until MM can figure out a way
to use them to their full capacity and actually animate them without the
whole trace thing. Futhermore the site in question Has No Animated
Bitmaps....its loaded with masks. I'm sure Simon could attest to this.
Believe me Drew i cracked the .swf wide open and studied the swf before
making my observations.

>You don't have to "stick around", but your gonna miss out.

For your info....noone will stick around if the bitmaps are not handled
correctly.
And if the preloader is not cut down at least threefold.

>Good advice, but try not to be so critical.

Thanks but as far as critical is concerned...you are the only one being
critical. I did not diss the site. I simply tried to give a lil advice on
how Simon could make it better thats it. No design tips were given. And as
far as the reference to "losing the bitmaps" is concerned. That simply
meant if they cannot be managed better then they should be taken away. If
the bitmaps are the ones bogging down the movie. I do agree that the photos
work well but not if they bog down the site itself and i know that 98% of
the list would agree..So to you Drew i say...slowdown Flash.

Thanx i just printed this qoute out and stuck it to my monitor.

I got one for you Drew:
"Accept reality for what it is and not for what you think it may be"

>Kudos Simon.

Nay! Kudos to you Drew.
And yes keep it up Simon. I am sure that the next time you post...all the
issues i addressed will have been dealt with. and if you would like to take
it off the list, Simon, i will be glad to assist you in any way i can.

>Keep it up!

Ahem...Keep it real.
