FLASH: Flash killing gifs on page...

Hi all.


I am having a problem with Flash having some odd effects on any gifs contained

on the same page. In IE 4.72, if a page contains both Flash and a gif, the gif

starts to look really funky with inverted colors, etc.  If the gif is changed to

a jpeg the problem disappears.  This problem can only be created on one of the

20 or so computers I tested on, but it is repeatable and consistent... did I

mention annoying?


What I am asking:  Does anyone have any idea what is causing this, or a way to

fix it?  AND can you suggest any sites which use a bit Flash wrapped within a

regular HTML page with graphics?


I had several sites bookmarked that used a ton of HTML combined with moderate

amounts of Flash, but I can't find them now (imagine that) and could use them.
