I have a theory! Perhaps all you need is a simpler version of this 3D thing. Render wireframes only out of a 3D package. Take those anims into Flash. Trace the wireframes in a different layer and fill them appropriately. Then dump the 3D anims. And then you have a full Flash anim. This is indeed basically rotoscoping to get that 3D look. If you look at eye4U, you'll notice that most of the shpaes they use are based on simple boxes and spheres, so you really need just a simple 3D package to try this in.

Hope this helps a little.

Have I got this right - to create those zippy 3D flash objects that you
see i www.eye4u.com, etc you simply
render them in a 3D package (at what sort of settings? flat shading,
high antialiasing?), export them as individual frames and import them
into flash and play back as a linear animation?

Thanks,

D.
