Subject: FLASH: Netscape Com 4.61 is Batty!
From: Jefferis

I know this isn't the place to ask about this, but I thought i would tape
your combined wisdom...
I wanted to check how my web AGL and Flash creations display... so
I tried for over a week to download Netscape Communicator 128 bit
encryption, Mac 4.6.1 from Netscape and the server was AWFUL!
4 times / 3 days, the download would never start.
2 times I tried to download with Netscape Navigator 4.0.8 and everytime
it disconnected in the middle of a dowload, after about 1 hr. online...
and you can't continue a download in Nav, so it was a disgusting waste of
time.

I finally used IE 4.5 to download it after 2 connections and reloading
the download.

Gak! If this is the way to win market share, I might as well shoot
myself!
I finally got the whole 1.5 hour download completed, and installed it
once, then twice with the same result:

The Communicator Screen flashes on screen and then nothing... no
unexpected quit, but no start up either.

I am tempted to use only IE 4.5 for Mac but that has memory use problems
and Flash display problems, but lately my Netscape 4.08 has been
unstable...

Anyone have any advice?
