It's just picking up one variable and the URL is:
http://www.mysite.co.uk/mypage.cfm?var1=nav

Which works fine for the cold fusion part.

Take a look at mypage.cfm without the flash (just
put the URL into the URL bar). You have to make
sure that that page is in the correct format for
loading Flash variables. Something like:

var1=valueOne&var2=valueTwo%20with%20spaces
