Randy,

Thanks for taking the time to write out this message. It was helpful and
appreciated. I am going to try the picture blur and see if that will make
it a little less noticeable as the pictures will be constantly moving
anyway.

Thanks for your help!

Best Regards,
Diana

only have the bitmaps that are currently visible on the timeline. You could
do this in a few ways, but I'd try to make them all SWFs and use LoadMovie
to load the next one in just before it moves into view, and then Unload them
as soon as they're gone. This should help take some unnecessary load off the
processor. Of course this relies on the fact that it is, as you say, a
constant stream, and not something

hope not -- can't imagine anybody downloading 20 min. worth of big bitmaps),
the LoadMovie idea might not work well due to the download time.

REALLY tax the processor. Hmmm, what else...oh, straight (as in straight
horizontal or vertical motion) tweens are also slightly easier on the
processor than diagonals.

motion becomes jerky, especially at very slow speeds and (relatively) slow
frame rates dictated by hardware limitations. You'll see this in vectors too
when you're moving something such a minute amount that it's actually only
moving 1 pixel per several frames. It's more pronounced in
bitmaps/photorealistic images since the shift takes place across the entire
image. Couple this sea of pixel shifts with JPEG

what our eyes see in reality becomes...well, unsatisfying.

are constantly moving, and won't be displayed statically, you might try
blurring them a bit in PShop/FWorks first. That might take a bit of the edge
off of the pixel shifting.

There will need to be a constant stream of large, slow moving bitmaps,
motion tweening from the right side of the screen to the left. (to display
their new product line) No matter what I try, the pictures are just not
smooth enough as they move. I have already tried different types of JPEG
quality on export; checking/unchecking the "Allow Smoothing" button and
different frame rates with limited results.
