Wow, you're right, thanks for the link, Marc.

This is part of the larger pattern right now of spreading uncertainty and
doubt. You can see it in the superficial copying of Macromedia innovations,
from the applications to Macromedia Exchange to Web conferences and more...
the copying of interfaces while charging the reverse... the press campaign
saying SVG will replace SWF. Silly actions individually, true, but together
they're part of a larger pattern.

People in the field know there's a workflow advantage in making graphics in
one program rather than three, and being able to automate the graphics tool
from the HTML editor. The "complete vector drawing tools" line there is
particularly remarkable. With such inaccuracies as that FAQ, I suspect
they're trying to sway the folks who don't know any better, who still trust
the once-valid brand.

(Here at the shop, we're going to continue doing what customers request,
implementing new abilities to assist designers in their work... in a way,
it's great validation that the other company finds this all so
threatening.)
