??? CGI is not a languages... CGI stands for Common Gateway Interface, its
what any language thats talking to the web has to speak back. So hence a
CGI program can be written in Perl, C, whatever.

As for Perl vs. PHP, PHP 4.0 simply spanks everything when it comes to
speed, especially if you use the Zend optimizer.
