Subject: FLASH: making an Application Service Provider front end in Flash w/ Citrix
From: Fortune Elkins

hiya!

we're offering an ASP solution. i've made the whole site in flash, including
the login page. the problem is the app presentation page.

we're using the citrix client, and they gave us the code you need to get the
puppy running in an html page. it uses Active Server Pages and some kind of
weird code i've never seen before with what appear to be variables in
brackets like [Citrix_Folder].

what happens is you login, the login runs through a couple of .asp and then
the launch page (applist.htm) comes up. the central content of the page is a
<DIV> with the required Citrix code. (See below).

do you have any suggestions on how i can get this wacky code into my Flash
movie? i can figure most of it out, except for the part where the Citrix
server stuff inserts the appropriate app links, that is, the stuff that
starts as the <[NFuse_DrawPN numCols="3" flat="no"]> <[NFuse_IfRowStart]>
etc.

could i set these as hidden variables with a Set Variable and make the rest
as a regular form with the icons, etc? what kind of variable is
<[NFuse_IfRowStart]>? it doesn't look like .asp to me!

or would it be better to just try using layers in dreamweaver with a jpg of
my flash background and this weird code in a higher layer?

of course i'd rather do it in flash, but i just can't figure this one out!
<sigh> am i missing something obvious or is this one tough?<g>

the dumbest girl on the internet,

fortune
