Shape Tweening works with drawn elements only.
In Flash you need to break apart Text and Symbols.
Imported elements often have multiple grouping applied to them. To
prepare an imported item for Shape Tweening you must remove all of the
groupings.

Removing groups on imported objects is an imoportant step in optimizing
imported graphics. Note, as you ungroup you may want to move some
elements to different Layers before completely ungrouping them. Once an
image is completely broken apart individual overlaying components are
merged together (flattened).
