Hi Andrew and all,

  The detection script at Olympics.org is a variation of Smart Shockwave

without the director code. It is about 250 lines of JavaScript code

compared to about 800 lines for Smart Shockwave. It also seems to be a

work in progress as there is code called [initGlobals()] that isn't

present. 

  In any case I prefer to do things mean and lean instead of heavy duty.

For instance they use 18 lines of code to determine if the browser is

Netscape instead of 1. About 4 times the code.
