Joost,

>>Think about what you really want for yourself............<<

as a person who has spent many, many years doing something I didn't want to
do......just for money....I can attest to the paramount importance of this
advice.

fortunately in my case, some years back I began to see how unhappy I was, and
in a variety of ways, began to prepare myself for the computer work I am going
to be doing one day in the very near future.

I know this is said so often that it is trite to most, but money alone cannot
make "you" happy..no matter how much one gets, unless one is so shallow that
owning things really *is* the most important thing (a life largely wasted
IMNSHO) and I cannot define such a life as "happy" in the truest sense of the
word.

This is no dress rehearsal for another life and it is literally illness-causing
to spend a lot of years doing something unfulfilling.

Before they know it, people who do "it" just for the money have lost 20 years,
not saved nearly as much as they had planned (love of spending often goes with
love of money)......and they don't realize how easy money could have been to
accumulate had they been in love with their work..............or such love may
even make the money largely unnecessary as poorly paid anthropoogists may still
love to get out of bed everyday.

Either way, "happy" results and "your" life and those of people around you are
infinitely better.

I apologize for this preachy email (you shouldn't have struck such a
nerve<g>)...........this is, after all, for learning Flash, and especially as I
am new, I don't want to make a bad impression on my fellow students or the
teachers here to help us.

But seeing your post, I couldn't help myself............apologies to all.

Regards,

bob
