Yes, if you do a LoadMovie, and tell the movie to stop playing, it will
continue loading. Actually, it's a good idea to preload the movies that you
load with LoadMovie.

In the movie that you are loading, put the label" end at the end of the
movie. Then in frame 1, put the label "preloader" with the following
actions:

If Frame Is Loaded ("end")
Go to and Play ("play")
End Frame Loaded

and in frame 5, put this:

Go to and Play ("preloader")

and at the frame 10 put the label "play".

This way the entire movie will load before it starts to play. If that's not
necessary, you can test for a frame somewhere in the middle of your movie
rather than at the end.

Subject: FLASH: Load movie ?

Hello all, I've done a demo for my company's product which uses load movie
extensively. The demo has a narrative voice over. I'm trying to optimize a
bit cause it's still slow over modem connections and I don't know if it's
continuing to load the movies so the voice is ready for the next clip. My
question is this, if I do a load movie and tell the movie to stop playing so
the voice doesn't star layering, will the movie continue to load? Any help
and any other optimization techniques for using large audio files would be
helpful. Thanks.
