Check with your manual since I'll probably be less than clear. Simply make a
movie clip which contains both the rollover and rollout animation with a stop
action in the first frame, in the frame where the animation finishes the
rollover and in the last frame. (If the entire clip is 10 frames 1-4 is the
opening animation 5 is fully-opened and 6-10 is closing, the stop actions go on
frames 1, 5 and 10.) Then drag this from the library to the stage where you want
it and give the instance a name (for example "animation"). Create a graphic for
your button, make its behavior a button. Write a script for it (or an instance
of it) that begins the tell target at frame 1 on mouse over and a begin tell
target that plays from frame 6 on mouse out. I don't have Flash with me to give
you the exact script, maybe it's in the manual or someone else can. Also,
someone sent me a script where it would play normally but if you moused out
before the animation finished it would play the rollout from the same spot (if
you rolled in and it would count frame 1.2.3.4.5 and wait for a rollout and then
play 6.7.8.9.10 this would work that if you only saw 1.2.3 it would skip to
8.9.10 on rollout, very nice. Maybe someone has something similar. All my
stuff's at home. Hope this is enough to get you started.
