technically there is no way to have the cursor appear when you enter a
frame. we were told it will happen in flash 5.

if it is extremely important to you (as it was to us), i can outline the way
we accomplished this, although it's a lot of work and probably not worth the
effort if it's just used once or twice in a site.

Subject: FLASH: Text Input Box

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering, I have a button that when pressed presents a user with
a text input box. However, the user has to click in the text input box in
order for them to be able to input any text. Is there any way to have the
text box appear and have it ready to recieve text?

TIA,
Jason
