Well, one of the best reasons to actually propose a STANDARD to the W3C is
to have it built into the browsers. There is also no reason to believe that
building SVG into browsers wouldn't happen.

As for the size of the plug-in, you seem to have missed the point of my
original post. SVG isn't designed to compete with Flash any more than a
300-MEG CMYK Photoshop file competes with a GIF. Two different critters.

This is a Flash list so let's focus on that. We certainly are.
