FLASH: File size logic.

Hi all,


Can somebody enlighten me as to the logic behind the ratio between a Flash

file size and a swf file size?


Say I have 2 Flash files. Fla A is 258K (246,784 bytes), Fla B is 258K

(239,446 bytes). SWF A is 258K (229,205 bytes), SWF B is 129K (87,676

bytes).


Why should this be? I know of course, the more bitmaps and frames, the

larger the fla, but shouldn't 2 flash files of similar sizes make 2 swf

files of similar sizes?


And finally, does it make a difference whether you are using a Mac or a PC.

Which takes me back to one of my previous posts - Do Macs make smaller files

than PC's, or vice versa?
