Use the frame rate setting to limit the speed. Use testing on slower
machines to learn to make your Flash play fast enough on slower machines
(be sure to test on cheaper graphic display cards as well as slower CPU
speeds). Use Bandwidth Profiler and Size Report to construct your Flash so
it streams smoothly over the Web at modem speeds. There is a lot to learn
about Flash, much more than just applying cool effects. It seems simple at
first. It isn't. Try keeping your effects simple, it will help reduce the
frustration factor. Then you can add complexity and discover what you can
get away with.
