Jason,

Why an absolute URL? If it's on a server other than the one where the Flash
file resides, I believe that the most recent version of Flash does not allow
you to retrieve variables from another server for security reasons (apparently
earlier versions mistakenly did). But then I don't see how it would working
locally either. Please feel free to discard if this has nothing to do with
your problem! I'm only recently acquainted with Flash and wracking my brains
here... Maybe someone with more experience will speak up.
