FLASH: Get Property of Nested MC's Question

Hi All, 

I'm very stuck on a problem. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.


On my main timeline is MC "Parent"

Inside MC "Parent" is MC "Child"  

Inside frame 2 of MC "Child" is 

MC "Grandchild". 


MC "Grandchild" appears in frame 2 only.


I want to get the x position of 

MC "Grandchild" when it appears on stage.


In frame 2 of MC "/Parent/Child" I set 

variable "XGrandchild" = 

GetProperty ("/Parent/Child/Granchild", _x)


I want the property to appear in text field 

named "XPosition" on the main timeline.


I use Call to refer to an actionscript 

on the main timeline. 

Call "../../../:Update"


Set Variable "XPosition"  = 

Eval ( /Parent/Child:Grandchild )


So...What's up with that?

It don't work too good.
