As far as I know that is the same here in the UK.
A clause has to be specifically drawn into a contract for the client
to gain ownership of any work created. The client will be able to use
it's website/animation/design but not claim ownership.
But, as Darren pointed out, courts prolly haven't been tested too
much on this one.
