fwiw, there are common roots between Pulse and Macromedia... Young Harvill
created the core player, and also created the original VR tool Swivel 3D,
later licensed to Paracomp. This firm joined with MacroMind to form
MacroMind*Paracomp, which later joined with Authorware to become
Macromedia. During this time Young was developing "the engine" which later
became MacroModel, which then expanded into Extreme 3D. You could see some
of his early realtime 3D players in the "FreezeTag" demos of 1996 or so.

Drew Pictures is another thread in this... many of these folks worked at
Paracomp or MacroMind before going on to make 3D CDs, and they also helped
form the core of the Pulse group.

If you're interested in realtime 3D on the web, then it seems like a good
thing to enquire into their developer program.
