Hi Jamie,


We don't even bother using JavaScript to detect Flash any more.  Use Flash

to detect Flash. See Colin Moock's tutorials at:


http://www.moock.org/webdesign/flash/


I'm on a Mac, and haven't had any probs using this method with IE.
