Subject: RE: FLASH: smooth scrolling - Flash 5 wish: loop while theMouseDown

Christian, the easiest method of doing this is create a "Script" Movieclip
and place it on the main timeline somewhere that is always available. Give
the instance name "ScriptMC".

In your button action
On (Press)
TellTarget ("/ScriptMC")
Go to and Play ("ButtonScript")
End Tell Target
End On

On (Release, Release Outside)
TellTarget ("/ScriptMC")
Go to and Stop (1)
End Tell Target
End On

Now, in 'ScriptMC' have each script you need in it's own area... I like to
space it out so labels are visible, but that's just me.
Frame 1: Action=Stop

Frame 2: Label="ButtonScript", Action=...some actions you want, like scroll
up a line...
Frame 3: Action=Goto and Play ("ButtonScript")

Frame 4: Label="AnotherButtonScript", Action=...some actions you want, like
scroll down a line...
Frame 5: Action=Goto and Play ("AnotherButtonScript")

Each button just calls the appropriate script.

Hope this helps!
