Hi Pascal. Not sure if this is what you're looking for--it's a cut and
paste from the macromedia site (support section, search on "mime") from
Netscape (probably if you get there from another browser it will give
you info for checking in that browser):
To check the MIME type settings on the server do the following:
1
In Netscape, enter the server URL for the Flash
Player movie you want to check. Note: To prevent a 'false reading' make
sure that the entire page finishes downloading before going on to step
2.

Choose View > Page Info (or Document Info) This
opens a Document info window with 2 frames.

In the top frame, click the
"Embed:moviepath/moviename.swf" link that displays your moviepath and
moviename.

In the lower frame, read the File MIME type
listing. If the file MIME type is not application/x-shockwave-flash, the
server is not configured correctly. To correct the MIME type: ... (link
to another page at macromedia site)
