Subject: FLASH: RE: FLASH 5: whatever will happen to the promissed SDK

This is also an intresting point. Can we expect future versions of the Flash
format to also be "Open", and can we expect more of the same disembling
approach to this "openness".

I committed to Flash on the basis of the MM "Open" announcement. I think
Flash is a great technology, but its not so great that the MM approach to
developer relations and its so-called commitment to "openness" dont make me
wonder what other options there are.

If we can expect a 9-month delay between Flash players and Flash SDKs, im
not sure the whole deal is worthwhile. It would take less time to
reverse-engineer the damned format and come up with your own SDK, as several
people have done in their spare time.
