FLASH: Digital Dashboard and Flash - GetURL opens browser window

I haven't looked into Microsoft's Digital Dashboard technology yet.  I'll download it and see what happens.  I don't normally use Outlook 2000 as my email client; I prefer Eudora.


I can say that the Flash ActiveX control (which must be how Outlook is using Flash) would use a standard GetURL call as defined by the ActiveX API.  It goes through the browser for any GetURL command, whether it's a mailto: reference, an http: reference, or an ftp: reference.

In other words, having the browser window opened under the scenario you have described would be expected behavior.
