It's the exact same thing as the constantly-recurring "How can I detect
Flash in IE/Mac?" thread. Only the Netscape 3+ browsers give JavaScript a
useful navigator.plugins array.

(With QT it's actually a bit more restrictive because there's no ActiveX
Control, so you can use VBScript to ask IE/Win32 what controls the system
has.)

There's lot more FAQ-like information like this in the world. If you find
your work is getting delayed by having to ask others to type out a new
reply, then it may be quicker to read the mailing lists for information, or
to study up on some search engine techniques. These can save you much time
in the long run...!
