After nearly a year of development, the Annex is now live. 


An interface of five cube levels, the Annex collects together the work of students, professionals and experimental web developers from North and South America, Europe and Africa.


Intending to investigate the potential of the web, each piece follows the theme of the word 'Annex': To join or attach. 


But 'The Annex' is not simply an on-line gallery, it is the follow-up to 'Balance' curated by New Media at Fabrica. 'Balance' brought together a new team to the research centre, formed the basis for their guest programme of visiting professionals and created a network of discussions. 


Annex is an attempt to sustain this foundation...
