Believe it or not I have actually seen both of these in print:


SQL = Structured Query Language

SQL = Search and Query Language


Perhaps it really is Structured and not Search.  I remember when I first

started learning this stuff I was very confused by the contradiction. I

didn't know an authority on the matter so i just picked the one I liked.

So, are you sure it's "Structured Query Language"?   Good to know if so.
