FLASH: Flash Plug-In for IE on Mac

I know this subject has been covered to death... but could someone review

with me again the reason why the Flash 4 Plug-In has so many problems with

IE 4.01-5 on Macs? I moved to a new job, no longer have all my trusty saved

newsgroup e-mails, and we're experiencing the problem here. If I don't have

a solution, I'd like to at least provide an explanation.
