FLASH: shortcut key PROBLEM

okay, I have yet another AGGRAVATING problem with my Flash. 

for some reason, all my shortcut keys won't work. (like f6 for putting a

keyframe in) This is SOOOO annoying! I threw away the flash preferences,

hoping that would help, but to no avail. Does anyone know why this would

happen and/or how the heck to fix it?

Please please help. :]
