FLASH: Simple variable question.

Hi all...


Quick variable question I need a hand with.


I have a main timeline in which frame 1 sets the value of the variable named

"First" to 1.87.


I have a movie clip named "Clip" which contains the variable named "Other" with

a value of 13.


What I want to do is place the movie clip "Clip" in the main timeline and have

the variables "First" and "Other" multiplied together.  (I need to use the value

of the variable "First" in other movie clips... that is why I placed it in the

first frame of the main timeline.


I have no problem with the MC finding the variable "Other,"  but it refuses to

see the variable "First."  I think it may be a syntax thing, or I am using the

wrong approach.


I hope a few of you were able to follow this and can offer some help.
