AW: FLASH: Learning ActionScript

i thing u have to learn and understand actionscript.

u have to unterstand work with variables.loops. sinus arrays.

if then else .stuff. a feeling for routines and how they could work.


u have to be hard and stay at one thing till u did it.


iam a flash newbie (3-4 month and 1 month of action scripting).

but i did a lot of other stuff with javascript,assembler,pascal,basic and

java.


i began doing the yugop style menu(resizeing runinng menu bar).

it took more than 10 hours at a row.but now its works 98% (sum tiny

bugs).but  iam happy.


its like u see sumthing.thinking ....how the fuck works this. maybe a week

later it makes

ping in your head and u begin to code ,see the nu project growing and

getting clear.

thats it.



u have to learn to form the problem/idea into words.


ex:


1.the object has to go bigger and to right if go with mouse to the right.

2.the rules are: not to big .not to fast ,with a growing  speed ,stop at

right corner.


then formulate this in flash action script ....



i u want to code in flash u have to understand.

the rules of coding.


loops

variables

array

if then

set property of movie clips

get property of movie clips

and so....

ps: the best is to begin with tiny actionscripts .look at fla.copy it.use

it.improve it.make it better.

I want to know how yugop and lunar ect etc did their sites. No one is going

to give the code away but can anyone tell me where/how I can learn.


Are there any suitable books about actionscipting, are there any courses in

the UK, are there any websites with tutorials etc etc?


Do you need to have experience in programming or anything like that? I hope

someone can tell me where/how I can learn because right now I dont know

where to start.
