Josh,

First of all welcome to Flash and Flasher.
As you might notice this list does not support sending attachments a
Very Good Thing (tm) once you start to see it's volume.
Your confusion is based on a misunderstanding of some of the basic
principals of Flash. The main timeline where you placed the movie clips
does not 'wait' for the movie clip timeline.
This may sound a bit confusing for you so I would recommend you take out
the Flash manual that I guess you left in the package and read it.
Also follow the included tutorials and then check out the samples. Also
try using the Flash help pages.
All this can be done in one or two days and you'll find it's the Best
Thing (tm) to do.
