Subject: FLASH: David Gary, others, and the issues of time
From: Frederico

Hello kids,

I'm not generally too uptight about such things, but certain members seem
to have fairly consistent inconsistencies in their time-stamps on posts,
causing messages to be inserted out of order in threads. A few minutes is
fine, but a few hours makes for problems for many people. This is
especially difficult to resolve in a functional archive, without a manual
correction.

Are some of you (DG) employing a strategy of setting your clocks ahead so
that you receive better visual priority on lists like this? If so, please
knock it off. It's rude, arrogant and unneccesary.

Others are ludicrously behind, sometimes by two or more years (DG),
sending mail to the bottom of the sort- list, and, due to a recent
frustration-response on my part, straight to the trashbin without being
read or archived.

Anyway, this is a polite request for people to keep their clocks set and
in working order, and if the problem lies with your server, not your box,
please jump on your ISP to get it straight.

Grazi

Yours,

Keeper of the Great Filtered Searchable Unwanted Archive
