a bit early to tell...in theory all the pieces are there. only our work will
determine how viable it really is on really large sites. everything looks
cool so far for small to medium sites. one of the earliest tries at it i've
seen is here:

fudge is a hair styling product manufacturer. the site is still in progress,
and hasn't been optimized, but it has an implementation of a shopping basket
you may be interested in seeing.
