Subject: RE: FLASH: OT - To Dreamweave or not to Dreamweave

JGL,

Dreamweaver 3 and Fireworks 3 are fantastic together.
They allow me to create sites in a 3rd of the time it used to take by
hand-coding and export, batch, optimize with Debabelizer. I've been using
both since version 1 and have to say version 3 is great - especially being
able to copy/paste paths from Fireworks into Freehand or Flash. MM has done
a great job integrating all of their tools, and if you're currently using
Flash and Homesite going to Dreamweaver should be a welcome change. One last
thing - if you do any database/dynamic page stuff (or think you might) do
yourself a favour and look at Dreamweaver Ultradev. It paid for itself the
first day I used it - as I was actually going to subcontract some database
stuff, but wtih DWUD I had the pages ready to go in a couple of hours.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Bryan

BTW - in relation to Flash - Dreamweaver makes embeddding the Flash object
completely mindless, and Fireworks allows you to design and use your
graphics in either bitmap or vectors - so you can reuse your entire design
in either html or Flash from one file/application. Doesn't get much better
than that. ;-)
