Well, you can use css with netscape, just not the good stuff ;-) I do
use some at that site, but just for text formatting. No layers at all.
I think it must be something about it being in a table cell, as Jason
said, but I can't think what.

As an aside, could someone explain what putting a javascript tag in the
body section (inside a table cell at that) does, and when and how the
document.write statements are executed inside that (or point me to a
good written explanation on the web)? It seems odd to do it that way,
but that's how the template does it and it seems to work (replaces the
flash with a gif when there's no plugin, etc). But the vanishing flash
when the plugin *is* there is still a mystery to me.
