I agree whith David. Macromedia has done everything but install the plug-in
for people. I can't get over the fact that this is still an issue that
exists.

Is my assumption that Flash has become a standard incorrect? I think that
stats say it all. Check this out:
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/survey/

More people can view Flash than Java according to this.

Keep Java where it belongs,on the server side.
